How to gain more positive skills and unfuck negative mentality (How to level up and train your character part 4)

As a former ABA therapist who is trained and graduated in human behaviour and ABA therapy, psychology.
Rewarding and conditioning good behaviours with desirable rewards can become stale and ineffective.

I.e. Calling our children to table for dinner to be rewarded with foods they like or scolding them if they fail to come when called, does not seem to be winning strategy for obedience nor family time.

As an adult or teenager, we are aware of what makes us unhappy , using pavlov conditioning as an example, we come to realise that we are often stimulated and offered unconscious priming to be accustomed to society, advertising and seek immediate rewards when offered. I.e seeing the sign of MacDonald can make your kid excited, or another example being able to get what you desire when being exposed to an opportunity,…

WHO AM I? I am a former ABA therapist, lifestyle coach and current lifeskill coach. Graduating from Oklahoma City University, I am certified in BSc human behaviour (with concentration in human behaviour) and have the necessary skills to equip you with mindsets and aba scripts to improve your life.

I am a straightforward individual. I am quick to analyse, it is usually not my POV- relationship (to you) speaking but my POV (of knowledge), although both would be connected, so I'm not going to be an asshole to demand you to be understanding, just to do this, give me time.💕

With that speaking, I may get more personal. For instance, human relationships is in particular one of my favourite observations.However, I will not use self talk to speak here, hence you will not get much emotional leaks, but heartfelt cold reasoning with vulnerable feelings.✌

This is my way of being responsible and conscientious to the information I transact over here with you and with the Universe.

What do I think about self talk?👅

  1. It is one of the biggest tool we use to reason and sound things out.
  2. We also teach ourselves ways to handle our emotions.
  3. We know mind biases and am well aware how easily we can torment ourselves.
In a world that others hurt us, we may play devil's advocate to strengthen our soul,
yet at the same time pry it from its original being, just to distort it to harden our heart's shell.

so I personally recommend less usage of "self" talk.
then how do we gauge and learn?

  • Information and self awareness.
Instead of I feel______ because they________, that made me ____________
I would be of such, I want to tell them but I am "so nice" " they would not understand"/

my process of information is internalised and not bred upon. (you don't speak to yourself as another entity to encourage/chide but you internalise what's happening, what could happen and what must be done)

I am currently upset, because situations were not favourable to my living being. I could have ______ to optimise X aspect ,
I understand I didn't because __________ , hence in the future, I must/I can ________ and for the now, I must ________ so I can make better the situation.

  • More Self (awareness) talk
  • My talk is based on my actions, and things happening.
it have no personal character that a person must fit into to live an archetype of a character.
but that I am genuinely living as me, of such, I care about addressing the situation and not my great or flawed traits that must persist.

P/s: it's weird to define yourself, inhibiting growth instead you could actually live and learn more about yourself, to not make self schema (Your self-defined traits) as the reason of actions.😇
